tumblr for the privileged

i just realized..

tumblr is for people who are privileged enough to not get anxiety from anything but beautiful, “extra” body fat and not being in love and fulfilling their quota of indie. for people who have time to sit down by a tree and just look at it and be with it - but people who do not, because with a privileged life comes so many decisions regarding what we could do and might do, that we chose the commercial ones… the ones we’re told to chose by other privileged people who want to keep being privileged by supporting the corporation they work for and getting us to buy things that make us forget to look up -

 at the tree which is malting golden leaves past our faces.

that’s who tumblr is for. because we post pretty things and document small but massive incidences which make us cower under our own pettiness. and just by being here, we purchased that damn computer, and caved to those other privileged people, who are gleefully steepling their fingers at their supposed success.

and i’m one of those privileged people who know nothing of actual struggle and pain except what we know of in our tiny massive world. and you are too.
